Daily maintenance and upkeep of waste heat recovery dryers

  During daily use, please do not neglect the maintenance of the waste heat regenerative dryer to avoid unnecessary losses! Only good use and maintenance during normal operation can ensure the normal use of the waste heat regenerative dryer equipment, reduce the occurrence of faults, and achieve greater economic benefits.

  Daily Maintenance of Waste Heat Regenerative Dryer:

  1. Check the automatic drain valve of the pre-filter every day before the shift.

  2. Check if the tower replacement, regeneration, and pressurization actions are normal.

  3. Check the operating conditions, inlet pressure, inlet temperature, and air flow.

  4. Check the moisture indicator. Blue indicates dryness, pink indicates moisture.

  5. Check if the silencer is clogged. Excessive back pressure in the regeneration tower indicates that the silencer needs to be replaced.

  6. Check the pressure drop of the pre-filter and post-filter. If the pressure drop exceeds 0.5 bar, replace the filter element.

  Monthly Maintenance of Waste Heat Regenerative Dryer:

  1. Check the air passage filters of the athermal and thermal regenerative dryers. Replace as needed.

  2. Check the filter element of the guiding filter of the forced-air dryer and replace it if necessary.

  3. Check the intake filter of the forced-air dryer and replace it if necessary.

  Quarterly Maintenance of Waste Heat Regenerative Dryer:

  1. Check the pre-filter and post-filter for blockages and potential damage, and replace them if necessary.

  2. Purge the safety valve with compressed air.

  3. Check the dew point of the output.

  Annual Maintenance of Waste Heat Regenerative Dryer:

  1. Close the stop valves connecting the dryer inlet and outlet, fully open the bypass line, completely depressurize the dryer system, open the desiccant filling port, sample the desiccant for testing, and replace the desiccant if it is contaminated with oil and pulverized.

  2. Disassemble and inspect the outlet check valve. Maintain and replace if necessary.

  3. Disassemble and inspect the inlet pneumatic valve and regeneration exhaust valve, clean and replace worn valve seats and seals.

  4. Check for leaks in the pneumatic cylinder and wear of the seals.

  5. Maintain and inspect the pressure regulating valve.

  6. Maintain and inspect the control air circuit solenoid valve.

  7. Calibrate the dew point probe (with dew point timer).

  8. Check if the silencer is clogged with oil or dust. Replace if the back pressure exceeds 0.35 bar.
