Adsorption dryer: How to replace the desiccant in an adsorption dryer?

In compressed air systems, adsorption dryers are rarely used alone. Typically, two filters are installed before the inlet of the adsorption dryer, and one filter is installed after the outlet. Dryers are almost always used with filters in all pneumatic networks.
This is necessary to meet the air quality requirements of the adsorption dryer and is also a requirement for the normal operation of the adsorption dryer itself. What is the purpose of installing filters on an adsorption dryer?
Method for replacing the desiccant in a twin-tower adsorption dryer:
1. Each drying tower of the adsorption dryer has an inlet and outlet for filling and draining. Remove the top plates from both sides.
2. To help the desiccant flow out of the tower, a small rod can be inserted into the outlet if necessary. This is because the desiccant is packaged into the tower, and there may be interference with its smooth flow out of the tower.
3. The coarse filter screens installed on the inlet and outlet pipe connectors of the tower are removable on all models. It is recommended to remove and clean these screens when changing the desiccant. The screens can be accessed after removing the upper/lower header from the drying tower.
4. After cleaning the coarse filter screen of the adsorption dryer, reinstall it and plug the outlet plug.
5. After removing all the filler plugs, add the appropriate grade and specification of desiccant. The desiccant level in the adsorption dryer should meet the requirements of the desiccant filling table.
6. Once both towers of the adsorption dryer are filled, re-plug the filler plugs of each tower.
7. Any connections disturbed during the desiccant change process of the adsorption dryer should be leak-tested before the dryer is recommissioned.
